The Natural Diamond Council (NDC) has broken new ground by featuring its first-ever male cover star, IDEX Online reports. In a 2-minute video geared toward promoting diamond jewelry for men, actor Taylor Zakhar Perez takes on the persona of the “Diamond Cowboy.”
The Chicago born actor is 31, and recognized for his roles in The Kissing Booth romantic comedy franchise, Red, White & Royal Blue, and the comedy series Minx. In the promotional visuals, he wears a diamond and enamel pendant designed by Nikos Koulis from Greece, as well as a diamond bolo necklace crafted by the Italian-based Graziela.
Zakhar Perez shared: “I visited the Karowe Diamond Mine in Botswana. It’s female-led, with 99 percent of its employees hailing from Botswana. What’s truly impressive is the mine’s commitment to fostering lasting and sustainable benefits within the local communities.”
Zakhar Perez joins the ranks of Lily James and Ana de Armas, as well as supermodel Karen Elson, who have all fronted NDC’s campaigns advocating for natural diamonds.
