A 31.62-carat Fancy blue diamond pendant necklace is estimated to fetch between $10 million and $15 million at Christie’s Magnificent Jewels auction next month, IDEX Online reports.
The pear-modified brilliant gem has been graded as natural color, VVS1 clarity and potentially Internally Flawless by the GIA. The stone is “set among round diamonds and pink diamonds in platinum and rose gold.”
Christie’s Magnificent Jewels auction, scheduled for December 6, will also highlight another pendant necklace. This one features an 86.64-carat pear brilliant-cut diamond, as well as 78 pear brilliant-cut diamonds of 2.50 to 0.50 carats, with a total carat weight of 87.73 carats, in platinum and white gold. It is estimated to sell for $5 million to $7 million.
