A cup of diamonds…

The world’s most valuable teapot was valued at $3 million in 2016. Handmade by Italian jeweller Fulvio Scavia, it features 18-carat gold, gold-plated silver, diamonds, a 6.67-carat ruby and a fossilised mammoth-ivory handle. Owned by the UK charity N Sethia Foundation, it belongs to Nirmal Sethia’s Chitra Collection, which preserves over 1,000 years of tea history through nearly 2,000 objects.
