An 8.01-carat blue diamond necklace was the top seller at Christie’s Magnificent Jewels auction in Hong Kong on Tuesday.
The pear-shaped, fancy vivid blue, internally flawless piece by Moussaieff sold for just under $20.5 million, or $2.6 million per carat, Christie’s said. Its original estimate was $18.5 million to $24.9 million (HKD 145 million to HKD 195 million).
